Here is an adaptation of "Once Upon A Time" from Australian Smocking and Embroidery issue #93. It turned out quite cute. I still have a lot to learn, repeat A LOT to learn. The bias band at the neckline is thick and does not lay quite right and the flowers look just plain strange. If the threads could talk on this one they would have quite a story. I started it while watching my father pass and finished it while my mom had open heart surgery, and all the things in between. I'm hoping the the next project has a few less tales to tell.
Tracy - I think we are always too critical of our own work. Your bubble is cute and your workmanship is beautiful as always. Thanks for sharing it! As for the stories. . . every garment we make seems to have a story. . . sorry that these are a little on the bittersweet side.
