Strawberry Bubble

Here is an adaptation of "Once Upon A Time" from Australian Smocking and Embroidery issue #93.  It turned out quite cute.  I still have a lot to learn, repeat A LOT to learn.  The bias band at the neckline is thick and does not lay quite right and the flowers look just plain strange.  If the threads could talk on this one they would have quite a story.  I started it while watching my father pass and finished it while my mom had open heart surgery, and all the things in between.  I'm hoping the the next project has a few less tales to tell.

Three more little overalls for Alyssa.  I've been working on these for some time, and just now got the buttons sewn on.  They turned out mighty cute!

Rejoice Baptismal Gown

Here is the Rejoice Baptismal gown from Australian Smocking and Embroidery. The pictures don't do this justice! It turned out amazing. The heirloom sewing is beautiful. I'm envisioning grandchildren in this one.

Frannie Pattern Dresses

Here are the 3 very cute dresses that I made for the girls. The one piece collar is size 6mo for Alyssa, the rolled collar is size 3 for Amalia, and the rolled collar is size 6 for Maria. This is a wonderful pattern and I will make it again. Very cute and fun!

Mom's 50th Anniversary

This was truly a labor of love for my mom & dad's 50th wedding anniversary. My mom is from Germany and I wanted to make something to reflected that. The little boy with the gun was for my dad. The Hummel designs are embroidered on ecru linen then joined with entradeau and edged in a cotton lace to make a table center piece for her dining table.

A new dress for Riley

This is a Simplicity pattern that I made completely on the serger. I made this for her trip to Texas for Thanksgiving. It was quite fun to make. We did get her nice shoes for the trip :-).

Baptismal Gown for a boy

I finally finished this project! It is a simple Baptismal gown for a little boy. I used the pattern from Ginger Snaps Designs, Baby Day Gowns Book V. The idea came from a pattern in Australian Smocking and Embroidery magazine.
